With a degree in elementary education, BEC trainer Leigh Swann brings a special fondness for working with kids. Her patient style is well suited to someone who prefers to begin with the basics. Leigh brings 14 years of horse training experience to the job. Prior to joining BEC, Leigh was co-owner of a horse training business and later served as the personal trainer to three siblings who were aged 4, 7 and 10 when Leigh began what would be a seven-year assignment. During her time as personal trainer, Leigh coached one of her students from beginner through the hunter finals in Kentucky and in Marlboro, Maryland, where the girl finished seventh place in
the nation. As a child, Leigh was a very successful junior rider, having qualified for the finals at Madison Square Garden three years in a row, in the medal classes. At BEC, Leigh enjoys the relaxed atmosphere and the friendliness of owner Karen Brown.
